Arcanum Experiments are perfuming experiments and happenstance musing from our workroom. These perfumes are the result of our past year’s workshop fragrance sketches, alchemical adventures to unexpected destinations, and creative explorations with new accords or ingredients we can only obtain in limited or small quantities but that we still wanted to share. Some are playful, some mysterious, and some beautifully strange, each one unique to itself and never to be replicated.

- Experiment 1, aka Budding Romance: Fresh lilacs, purple violets, hyacinths, narcissi, lavender leaves, sweet grasses, pebbled garden paths, a marble courting bench under a bower of blooming wisteria
- Experiment 2, aka Hex-y and I Know It: Spellbindingly hypnotic florals - white gardenia, jasmine, vanilla orchid, and tuberose pillowed in a seductive blend of praline, Madagascar vanilla, and eight different ambers.
- Experiment 3, aka Cake My Day: Buttercream frosted cupcakes, sugared tarts, butterscotch cookies, macaroons, and sprinkles of Omani frankincense candy.
- Experiment 4, aka Sugar and Vice: A milky, silky veil of inviting lactonics, vanilla, and praline marshmallows hiding a backstory of almondy-cyanide, raunchy patchouli, illicit tobacco, and the smoke of burning evidence.
- Experiment 5, aka A Perfect Fen: A dark and brooding bog of muddy water, overgrown ferns, decaying conifer needles, peated soil, thick sphagnum moss, and black spruce.
- Experiment 6, aka Call of the Wilde: A 19th century gentleman’s salon - black shanghai chai, a mahogany writing desk, a plate of purple figs, bay rum cologne, pipe tobacco, oakmoss, and leatherbound poetry books.
- Experiment 7, aka Eat, Slay, Love: Petit fours, white amber, white woods, soft white florals, golden honey, cardamon, and orris root.
- Experiment 8, aka Them Fatale: An alluring elixir of star anise, vanilla musk, cloves, soft cashmere, sandalwood, and French lavender.
- Experiment 9, aka The Secret Life of Star Fruit: Red hibiscus tea, star fruit, wood apple, mandarin, charentais, Asian pears, purple plums, peach blossoms, pink pepper, and dry champagne.
- Experiment 10, aka Remains of the Hay: Golden hay, meadowsweet, clover, heliotrope, chamomile, mimosa, warm wood, and fresh cut sweetgrass.
- Experiment 11, aka The Vampire’s Tale: Ancient ritual incense, dark blood, tarnished silver, dripping candlewax, a silk lined mahogany coffin, and spilled holy water evaporating into cold night air.
- Experiment 12, aka Mermaids on Vacation: Gentle Pacific breezes, ozone seafoam, white tropical florals, yuzu, maile leaf, and vetiver root.
