The primal angst of artistic passion - iron-tinged blood, a manuscript soaked in spilled black coffee, and an overturned tin of rolling tobacco.

Stain every page—stain every song I sing, every word I say, bloody drops;
Let them know your scarlet heat—let them glisten;
Saturate them with yourself, all ashamed and wet;
Glow upon all I have written, or shall write, bleeding drops;
Let it all be seen in your light, blushing drops.

I really, REALLY adore “Writer’s Blood”!!! I would say it’s non-linear in the way that although you can smell the individual notes—(tobacco, coffee, blood, etc.,)— it all somehow simultaneously seams together, evoking exactly the mood/tone Alkemia describes—it’s very narrative-driven, I’d say. I find this super wearable, yet I do recognize it’s less “perfum-y” (if that makes sense) and more of: “This makes me feel like x” and polarizing (in the best way possible), treating scent more as identity rather than an accessory. It’s now my one and only forever scent! Thank you!!!

Beautiful

I was not prepared for how much I’d love this perfume! Wasn’t sure what to expect but it smells incredible. The coffee & tobacco blend so well with the metallic blood note, and I also smell some ink which is really lovely. I ordered a few samples and this one was the strongest out of the bottle, but it dries down to a gorgeous musky-leathery scent on me. Feels very dark academia. I see myself wearing this mostly in the colder weather, especially fall. Such a special scent and so glad to have it in my little collection now :)

Smells really good and exactly as described. I especially smell book pages and tobacco, and the blood note is so cool!
