Of Vice and Virtue Perfume

i got a sample of this and it's far and away my favorite alkemia fragrance. it's the only sample i've used the entire bottle of. i recently applied it with a small scratch of ydalir, and the contrast of ydalir's dark earthy masculinity with vice and virtue's euphoric femininity is out of this world. a very unlikely pairing and i knew it would be bold, but it works beautifully

When I sampled this last fall, I was surprised it was one of my favs from that release, because it’s sweet, not usually my thing. I’m trying it again a year later and it’s aged even more beautifully. Sweet white flowers - like gardenia mixed with yellow cake, but so sophisticated. I think the sassafrass (root beer type note) + Santal + tonka gives it this smooth base, making it deeper than a typical gourmand. It has that “unfff so good” quality lol! The name fits because it’s like this feminine sweetness + something intriguing and complex.
