An atmospheric brooding of Spanish moss, crumbling stone, old cement, red clay brick, and graveyard dirt.

"I'm going down to the cemetery'Cause the world is all wrongDown there with the spooks to hear 'em sing my sorrow song

Got a date to see a ghostBy the name of JonesMakes me feel happy to hear him rattle his bones."

- Bessie Smith
Cemetery Blues, vocals - 1923

St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 was founded in 1789. Just outside the French Quarter, it is one of New Orleans' most famous 'cities of the dead.' Its residents include Bernard de Marigny, the French-Creole playboy who brought the game of craps to the United States; Barthelemy Lafon, the architect and surveyor who allegedly became one of Jean Lafitte's pirates; and the legendary Voodoo priestess Marie Laveau.

SLC#1 is heaven in a bottle. I wish it lasted more than 20 minutes. The only scent of it's kind.

Unexpectedly Wonderful

This scent profile intrigued me when I got the curious oddities sampler. This scent, especially the smell of dirt and even mustyness was my absolute fave . It is my current signature scent and blends well with an oud cologne I had previously and with the 'mermaids in the basement' scent also from the sampler.

This is my absolute favorite aside from maybe fume. This stuff smells extraordinarily good but I feel like it only lasts for 20 minutes. I really wish there was a way to make this last at least half a day. I will continue buying this scent and fume until they no longer sell it. Layer this one with fume for a really nice smell. It's like walking into a damp crypt with moisture in the air and the smell of green moss on the walls. Mixing it with fume adds the waft of some adventurers campfire nearby
